In line with the motto “Dare to Rise” the upcoming 2024/25 season is expected to reach new heights once more. The claim of the EHF Champions League campaign emphasises the commitment of everyone being part of the competitions to constantly improve their performance in and out of the playing court. This mutual will to “Rise” reinforces the EHF Champions League as the premium product that is provided to the stakeholders.
A perfect example will be visible on 10 September, when a new episode of the “Dare to Rise” documentary series will introduce the 2024/25 season of the Machineseeker EHF Champions League. The action-packed “Last Shot” recaps the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2024, along with the journeys of the four finalists.
As players and teams strive to reach their full potential, the EHF Champions League is ready to keep reaching new milestones. 33 official broadcasters will secure an extensive visibility of the competition worldwide. The coverage of this season includes a revamped EHFTV, offering English commentary for all Machineseeker EHF Champions League and selected EHF Champions League Women matches.
New destinations for EHF CL in Scandinavia and Germany
In Germany, a new 24/7-handball dedicated-channel has been opened by broadcasters PlutoTV x DAZN Handball. They will delight handball fans with more than 50 live games per season, including the Machineseeker EHF Champions League, EHF Champions League Women and the EHF European League Men and Women, as well as a wide selection of extensive EHF content, free of charge.
Furthermore, the destination for Scandinavian fans to follow Europe’s premium club competitions has changed. The OTT platform “Handball Kanalen”, who has been showing the EHF Champions League in the past season, has been expanded to the new platform “EveryPlay” which continues to offer the all the competitions’ matches in Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Supplementary broadcast deals in the region, i.e. with DR in Denmark, remain in place.
The digital environment of both competitions continues informing about the game action happening on the playing court, complemented by the high quality behind-the-scenes content. The 1-billion mark from 2023/24 season, having tripled the digital reach in the last seasons, and the 1 million followers reached on both the official @EHFCL channels and the Home of Handball TikTok channel, are an important signal to continue to deliver the best handball content to every sport fan around the globe.
The success of the premier club competition and the continuous growth in the media reach are also reflected in the partnership deals. The sponsor grid for the 2024/25 season of the men’s competition presents Machineseeker as its title partner, followed by a strong list of official partners and suppliers — MOL, gorenje, Modular System, Croatian National Tourist Board and Istria Tourist Board as well as Select. Moreover, this year Raiffeisen Bank International has joined as a new partner for both the men’s and women’s competition, exploiting the full potential of the brand EHF Champions League.
As the countdown to the new season ends, we look ahead to the events that will mark the spectacular culmination of the men’s and women’s competitions. The EHF FINAL4 Women will be played on 31 May/1 June 2025 at the MVM Dome in Budapest, while the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 will be played on 14/15 June 2025 at the LANXESS arena in Cologne.
