Summary: Hungary and France take first semi-final spots
The Women's EHF EURO 2024 main round continued in Debrecen on Sunday, with France and Hungary's victories over Sweden and Romania giving them the two semi-final places from main round group I.
It wasn’t an easy game, it’s not easy to play against Sweden. Every time our matches are tough and we had an amazing first half, we went to the lockers six goals ahead. In the second half we were very careful, because we knew that nothing was done and gave everything to win or at least take a point from this game. We had a lot of ups and downs, but we stayed stable in the second half. This is a strength of character that we have shown and I am super proud of the team.
We are really happy that after the sixth game in this tournament we already know that we are in the semi-finals. We worked a lot, really hard, in the past few years, and we are really proud of the team and of the girls. Of course, we would like to thank the fans because the atmosphere was fantastic tonight and they pushed us.

It’s a strong team, a smart team, good coach, good players who can shoot from far, good line player, good wing. It will be hard, this is my opinion. We need to play with our hearts and our minds smarter than in our first game against Romania.
