We're closing the live blog coverage for today here, but let's finish with the stat of the day: France's strong defence have generally had very good statistics so far, but their forced turnovers are particularly outstanding. Their opponents lost the ball 16.9 times per 50 possessions, the highest of the tournament.

Hungary had a great preliminary round and one reason was their extraordinary goalkeeper Zsófi Szemerey, who stopped close to 50 per cent of the shots she faced in three matches. EHF journalist Filip Mishov caught up with Szemerey at today's media call to find out what her Women's EHF EURO experience has been like so far.

Tjaša Stanko is currently the top scorer and the leader in scorer points, with 24 goals combining with 18 assists. Czechia's Sabrina Novotná made the most saves in the preliminary round, stopping an amazing 42 shots, but she's likely to be overtaken by Sweden's Johanna Bundsen (31 saves) as Czechia were eliminated last night. 

Slovakia's Erika Rajnohová was the fastest sprinter, at 30.24km/h, closely followed by Switzerland's Mia Emmenegger - Emmenegger has also clocked up the most time on court, playing every minute of every match so far. Luckily she's only 19 so hopefully has plenty of energy!

It's the rest day at the EHF EURO - or travel day, for some. The live blog is coming to you direct from the train between Innsbruck and Vienna, which is also carrying the German and Dutch teams to the main round. Denmark and Switzerland are also en route to the Austrian capital from Basel, while Norway and Slovenia made the journey yesterday from Innsbruck as France and Poland flew from Basel to Debrecen.
