Champions Cup 2024 All-star Team revealed; MVP titles go to the Netherlands and Croatia

As the sun was setting over the shores of the Portuguese island of Porto Santo, the All-star Team of the tournament was announced. The online voting for the best team was open for 24 hours and more than 5,000 votes were collected. 

The MVP awards went to the hands of Dutch star Meike Kruijer, playing for Black Lake Beach and Croatian legend of the game, Ivan Juric who competed for the Portuguese side GRD Leça. 

In the men's competition, there were two awards given for fair play, to BHV Wasserschloss and Beach Stars BHC. 

The All-star Team of the women's competition: 

MVP — Meike Kruijer (Black Lake Beach) 

Goalkeeper — Paula Vera (CATS A.M. Team Almeria)

Best defender — Johanne Uhrhammer (The Danish Beachhandball Dream) 

Top scorer — Sara Pinho (GRD Leça - Love Tiles / 132 points)

Fair play — Multichem Szentendrei NKE 

The All-star Team of the men's competition: 

MVP — Ivan Juric (GRD Leça - Spar) 

Goalkeeper — Ricardo Castro (GRD Leça - Spar)

Best defender — Francisco Santos (Nazaré BHT)

Top scorer — Jakob Merrild (Aarhus Beach / 170 points) 

Fair play — BHV Wasserschloss and Beach Stars BHC
