Top teams to be tested in tough away matches
After many close and equal encounters in round 1, the group matches of the EHF European League Men 2024/25 continue with many top duels; in three of them, the French teams have exciting away challenges. Besides, a Melsungen trio will face their former club Vardar and Gummersbach’s Icelandic coach Gudjon Valur Sigurdsson will return home.
We are excited about the match because of the magnitude of the rival, which has been one of the last Champions League winners and has players of a very high level. We want to do well and for people to come. Moreover, we are in good form that we must take advantage of, and we hope to play a good game.
Limoges is a compact team, all players defend and attack, and have several options in all positions. Whoever wins this game takes a giant step for qualification.
We need to keep up the good momentum we've had over the last few games. It's a complicated game against a team that's used to going far in this competition. We need to enjoy ourselves collectively on the pitch, apply what we've worked on with the coach and give everything we've got for 60 minutes.
It will be exciting to play a European League match on home ground. It’s a great opportunity to showcase our skills and measure up against European opponents in Ystad Arena. We got one point in Constanta in a game that we could have both won and lost. This time, we’re playing at home and would like to double our points.
We are looking forward, we want to play a good game. We are visiting a team that is co-leader of the Swedish league, who are in great form. It is going to be difficult.
We enjoy playing these European games and are looking forward to being at home in Partille Arena on Tuesday. Even though we had a fantastic experience in Gummersbach in the last round, we are excited to bring European handball home to Partille, where we previously have beaten bigger teams than Toulouse. Let’s see if we can do it again on Tuesday!
Above all, the Icelanders and I are looking forward to being in Iceland and we are all looking forward to the second game in the group matches. There are two important points at stake. FH are a strong team who played very well in Iceland last season and also did an outstanding job against Toulouse
What to say about Kiel, the greatest team in the world. We expect a spectacle. I want to invite all fans to fill the arena to enjoy a festival of handball. We will try everything in our power to make the best possible result. It won't be easy because we have world handball names in front of us.
We have, of course, looked at our opponent to get an idea of what kind of team we are up against. We need to do everything in our power to get on the scoreboard in the group after a tough start. We are fully focused on ourselves and the things we can and must address in order to win at home.
