For the third time in a row, the shores of Porto Santo, Portugal, are hosting the best beach handball clubs from around Europe and enjoying all of what the sport has to offer. 32 teams in total, 16 in each, men’s and women’s competition, had their eyes on the prize.

After the group phase finished midday Friday, 12 teams in each competition proceeded to the main round, keeping the hopes for the shiny silverware alive while eight teams stayed unbeaten.

Our first ambition was to come to the main round, we did it. Now, we're just trying to enjoy being here and go as far as we can.

We could be better in defence since we have a lot of defence players at home that we miss, but we do a good job. The atmosphere in the team is perfect. Most of us play in the same team in indoor handball, so we're all friends since we were 16. With reaching the main round, now we just want to have fun and enjoy playing.

We've played good games. I think the team is better now, we're there in defence, sharp in offence. We have quite a new team. We needed a couple of games to warm up, start feeling it, and I think we're quite a strong team now, and we started to feel each other and play as a team. We want to go all the way to the final and gold medal.

It's our first Champions Cup and we need to improve as well as take the experience for the next matches. About the goals here, we only think about the next match, but we hope to take the final.
