All five episodes were filmed at the EHF Beach Handball Champions Cup 2024 earlier this month in Porto Santo, Portugal.
In episode one, we hear from French referee pair Cédric Daré and Mathieu Fanack, as they take charge of the men's final match between GRD Leça - Spar and Rødby Beach Boys.
The calls they make, their decision-making process, the way they communicate and explain their decisions to the players and all their interactions in this high-pressure situation are highlighted, giving fans a clearer picture of how referees manage with such a tough job.
The next four episodes in the series will be released once a week, every Wednesday, with episode two dropping on 30 November.
The series follows on from the success of episodes from the Men's EHF EURO 2024 and the TruckScout24 EHF FINAL4 2024, as we can see, refereeing beach handball is no easier than refereeing indoor handball!
