• Gran Canaria and Granollers won both legs against their Italian rivals: Gran Canaria defeated Jomi Salerno 56:39 on aggregate, while Granollers beat SSD Handball Erice ARL 64:56 on aggregate
• after beating fellow Turkish team Ankara Yenimahalle BSK 27:23 a week before, Armada Praxis Yalikavaspor again proved to be too strong for their domestic rivals, as 10 goals from Yeliz Özel powered them to a 36:23 win
• in the only doubleheader of the Last 16, Portugal's Sport Lisboa e Benfica had the upper hand against their Greek rivals AESH Pylea Thessaloniki, 75:58 on aggregate
• the quarter-final matches will be played on 9/10 and 16/17 March

Skopje win in close fight

In the first leg, the North Macedonian team HC Gjorche Petrov-WHC Skopje defeated their Czech rivals Hazena Kynzvart 32:29, which left the tie open. At home, Kynzart hoped to hit back, but Skopje were dominant for most of the match and led 24:20 after 40 minutes. However, Skopje should be credited for fighting until the end, as they turned the tide and pulled in front 34:32 in the last minute. But it was too little too late, as the Balkan side held their nerve and went through.
