In the opening round of the 32nd season, scheduled for 7 and 8 September, newcomers from Romania CS Gloria 2018 BN will welcome a well-known opponent at home, CSM Bucuresti, in what promises to be another fierce Romanian derby. Nykøbing Falster Håndbold, who are coming back to the premium competition after six seasons, will travel to Budapest for a clash with 2022/23 runners-up FTC-Rail Cargo Hungaria.
Another returnee, RK Podravka Vegeta, will start their EHF Champions League campaign against RK Krim Mercator Ljubljana, while all eyes will be on the champions Györi Audi ETO KC who will start their title defence against Team Esbjerg.
The group phase will stop after eight rounds in November just ahead of the Women's EHF EURO 2024 and will resume with round nine on 11/12 January 2025.
