Denmark take momentous win over Germany
Denmark earned their second victory of the EHF EURO Cup 2024 with a strong showing against Germany on Thursday night — so strong that it was the Scandinavian side’s second biggest win ever against Germany, in a mutual history that dates back to 1938 and includes 17 previous official matches. The biggest victory for Denmark actually occurred in 1938 — 11:3 at the World Championship.
With a five-goal advantage at half-time, Denmark looked on track for the win, and they stayed steady through the second period to clinch the two points and move on to four on the EHF EURO Cup table.
We have had some really good training sessions this week and have been trying to integrate the new guys to the team. Many things looked good today, of course there’s some mistakes, but with all these new constellations that’s not a surprise. I’m just glad that the things we worked on this week looked good during the game, and now we’re looking forward to Sunday, where we can try out some more new things.
