Veszprém and Barça host exciting clashes in final round of 2025
The Machineseeker EHF Champions League 2025/26 will take a break for the holidays and the EHF EURO 2026, but before that, round 10 is played this week, with plenty of action to look forward to.
We are well aware that one of the best teams in Europe is coming and we have to deliver a top performance to be able to challenge them. Over the last period, we’ve increased our level and several aspects of the game, which will be very important for us. I’m convinced that we are ready for Aalborg and together with our fans we will do everything we can to achieve a good result.
We are expecting a tough fight. They have some good back players who can be really hard to stop in their attack. But we need to stay compact in the defence in an away game with a crazy atmosphere. It will definitely be a fun game.
Füchse Berlin have shown that they are one of, if not the best, in-form teams in the Champions League. They are extremely well-coordinated and play a modern and dynamic style of handball. It will undoubtedly be a cool match and a big challenge.
Luck definitely hasn’t been on our side this season, but that’s something we have to accept and snap out of. We have a game coming up against Pelister — a team that has four points while we’re still sitting at zero. That said, I believe we’re the better side, and I can only hope this becomes a turning point in our season — the moment we finally secure our first points.
After two matches away, it will be very nice to be back at Palau with our fans. They will be very important as these two last points of the year can really make a difference for our direct qualification to the quarter-finals. We’re in a good moment, but we saw in Paris how difficult it is to get every win. We have to keep focused on the goal to get a win on Wednesday.
Barça came to Coubertin and beat us, and that's something we haven't forgotten. It hurt, but it also motivated us. We know Wednesday won't be easy, playing them away is always a huge challenge, but we're determined to make things right. We've worked hard, we believe in our preparation and in each other, and we're going to give everything.
We’re looking forward to a big challenge in Plock. We can take a lot from the first match, but we also know it takes 60 strong minutes to beat a top team like Plock. We didn’t quite manage that at home, but that’s exactly what we’re chasing now in the return match.
