From round 3, the winners of each tie, determined based on the aggregate score, will progress to the last 16. After the last 16, the journey continues through the quarter-finals, semi-finals and eventually the final.
All stages of the European Cup feature a two-leg play-off format, always with the aggregate victors progressing. The last 16 is scheduled for 9–10 and 16–17 January 2027, the quarter-finals for 13–14 and 20–21 February, the semi-finals for 20–21 and 27–28 March, and the final for 1–2 and 8–9 May.
